Well, since today is National Read in the Bathtub Day, you just might get that chance to spend time by yourself to peruse the latest novel, or one of the books that’s been sitting on your shelf, waiting to be read. You can lock the bathroom door and leave all of your troubles behind for a little while, and enjoy some much needed, uninterrupted reading time. Just make sure you take an actual book into the tub with you, not your Nook or Kindle. Electronics and water don’t mix.
You can even make it into your own little spa experience. Add some special bath salts or bubble bath to your tub, light some scented candles, and play some classical or other soothing music while you soak it all in and read. Enjoy every moment of the experience.
We all need a break every once in a while to recharge our batteries and enjoy what we love most. So enjoy this day of reading in the bathtub—and resolve not to limit it to once a year. Take some time to read in the tub . . . whenever you need it!
